We believe in the power of focus. We focus on one industry at a time. We spend substantial time upfront doing our homework. We believe this is a significant advantage compared to investors who are focused on multiple industries. We like industries that are large, growing, fragmented and profitable with benefits from scale and technology. We are ultimately looking to build in an industry where we see a path to build a multi-billion dollar company.
People-First
We want to work with the best people and believe in the power of bringing together the best investors, entrepreneurs, operators and employees. We aim to buy companies from entrepreneurs who want to continue to grow their company with the support of a larger company. We want to work with mid-career operators who are learning machines with a long runway. Our goal is to be an employer-of-choice, investing in and providing opportunities for our employees.
Long-Term
We have a permanent capital model, meaning our capital base comes from family offices and individuals with a focus on long-term company building. We prefer to reinvest our cash flow back into the company. We believe in compounding capital, reputation, knowledge and relationships. We are allergic to short-termism and use financial leverage conservatively. We believe our model solves the structural challenges of the traditional private equity fund model that prioritizes capital deployment, high leverage and a short-term approach.
